What would you change if you won this Thursday? Powerball is the jackpotting game which guarantees a first division prize pool of a minimum $3 Million and can jackpot to $30 Million, $40 Million and has even jackpotted as high as $80 Million!

To play Powerball you can use the specific Powerball

favourite numbers' as recorded on your Golden Casket Winners Circle card.
- Play a 'Quickpick'
entry, where your numbers are randomly selected by the Lotto

a Super Quickpick (18 games), a Mega Quickpick (24 games), or a JUMBO Quickpick (36 games).
- With a 'System' entry you select 7 or more numbers (up to 20), or six or more for a PowerHit system entry, in a single game panel then cross the 'System' box.

Golden Casket recommends that you always check your tickets.

Every Thursday night, the Powerball
draw takes place at approximately 8:45pm on Channel Seven and affiliated
regional stations in Queensland.
The draw features 2 machines
which both contain 45 numbered balls numbered 1 to 45. The first machine will draw 5 numbers. The second will draw only one number, the 'Powerball'. Therefore, it is possible that the Powerball number drawn could be identical to a number drawn in the first draw machine.

The Powerball prize divisions are as follows:
| Division |
What you need in one game to
win |
| 1* |
5 winning numbers plus the Powerball |

*All first division dividends are provisional for 2 weeks following a draw.
A standard entry in Powerball cannot win a prize in
more than one division.
Quickpicks are a quick and easy way to
play Powerball. Your numbers are randomly selected by the Golden Casket Outlet's Lotto terminal. A standard Quickpick gives you 12 games. If you want to play 18 games, ask for a Super Quickpick. For 24 games, ask for a Mega Quickpick and for 36 games simply ask for a JUMBO Quickpick.
PowerHit is a type of Powerball entry which guarantees you the Powerball, because you get all 45 Powerball numbers in the one game. A one game PowerHit entry is equivalent to 45 standard Powerball games, which means 45 chances to win.
There are 2 ways to play a PowerHit.
1. Mark a coupon, simply cross 5 numbers in the left game panel and then cross the 'PowerHit' box. There is no need to mark a Powerball number in the right game panel. You can play from 1 to 12 games on the one coupon.
2. Or ask your Golden Casket retailer for a 'PowerHit' and you will receive a randomly selected one game PowerHit entry. How much does it cost?
You can use your favourite numbers
from Gold Lotto (Saturday & Wednesday) to play
Powerball with a Powerpick. A Powerpick simply uses your
Lotto numbers and randomly chooses one of them for your Powerball
number. The other 5 numbers are played in the first panel
of your Powerball game.
You can either mark a special Powerpick
box on your normal Gold Lotto coupon or simply ask your Golden
Casket retailer for a Powerpick to be played with your other
Gold Lotto games.
To play Powerball, you simply cross
off 5 from 45 numbers in the first panel. Then mark off
just one number, the 'Powerball', in the second panel. It's
that easy.
Syndicates
are formed by groups of people who pool funds to purchase entries. For further details on forming or
joining a syndicate, ask for a Syndicate Kit at your nearest
Golden Casket Outlet or visit the Syndicate page in this site for Syndicate resources, including a handy Online Syndicate Planner to make organising a Syndicate easy.
System Entries give you the chance to win more. With a System Entry for Powerball you only choose extra numbers in the first game panel. For example, if you play a Powerball System 10 game and match 4 numbers and not the Powerball, you win 6 times
the Division 5 dividend plus 60 times the Division 7
dividend.
So to play a System 10 in Powerball, you choose 10 numbers in the first panel, and only 1 number, the 'Powerball', or the PowerHit option from the second panel. PowerHit Systems Entries are available from Systems 6 to 15.
For Powerball, you can play anything from
one system game panel on a coupon, up to the following.
| System type |
Maximum games per coupon |
| System 7 to System
13 |
12 |
| System 14 to System
20 |
4 |
The Multi-week option is extremely
useful when going on holidays or if you don't visit your local Golden
Casket Outlet very often. You can play the same set of numbers
in either 5 or 10 consecutive weeks of the draws. Multi-week
entries are not available for Systems 16 to 20.
Simply cross the relevant 5 or 10 week
box in the Multi-week section on your Powerball coupon, or
ask your Golden Casket retailer when entering with a Quickpick
or playing with your favourite recorded numbers.
If there is a Powerball draw
you don't want to miss you might like to ask for an Advance Entry. You can
nominate which future draw you wish to enter up to 10 weeks
in advance.
It's easy to play Powerball using your favourite numbers. Simply mark a coupon
with your chosen numbers, hand this coupon to your Golden
Casket retailer along with your Golden Casket Winners Circle card and ask them to record these numbers onto your
card. Next time you want to play, just hand the retailer your
card and ask to play your recorded games.
