Three Rochedale women share in $1 million Gold Lotto win
It was champagne all round yesterday when three Rochedale women discovered they had won $1 million in Saturday night’s Gold Lotto draw.
The lucky trio, who purchased an 18 game Quickpick ticket in the draw, won the division one prize on game 17.
“Lucky we put in the extra money to buy the 18 game Quickpick instead of just the regular 12 games,” one of them said.
When one of the women took the ticket back to Rochedale Newsgency to have it checked, she was shocked to be told they had won the division one prize.
“I told the sales assistant that she was being silly,” the woman said.
“But she insisted that we had the winning ticket,” she said.
The three women will split their prize evenly and have already made some plans for their windfall including a swimming pool, eye surgery and retirement plans.
There were four division one winners in Saturday night’s Gold Lotto draw. The wins came from Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia and South Australia.
The winning numbers were 14, 41, 33, 32, 27 and 36. The supplementary numbers were 35 and 6.
